Digital technology has, since its creation, largely outpaced analog technology for various amounts of reasons. The main reason, however, is that it allows for a smoother transition of data without the noise that is usually picked up along the way with analog technology. As a result, the range of digital technology is significantly larger than that of analog technology. Other notable reasons for digital technology outpacing analog include cost efficiency and innovation, allowing us to do things with digital technology that aren’t possible with analog technology.
